God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally and equally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is unchangeable and perfect in His wisdom, goodness, holiness, justice, and truth.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who God the Father sent to earth. He is both fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, and died on the cross, bearing the punishment from God that we deserve as sinners, giving us his perfect standing before God. He defeats death by rising from the dead after three days, and he went to be with God the Father in heaven. He will come again to rescue Christians, judge the world, and make all things new again.
The Holy Spirit brings faith into sinners, allowing us to see our sin and need to be saved. The Holy Spirit works in believers' hearts upon salvation to empower us to obey God and understand His work in order to highlight the saving work of Jesus in our lives.
We believe the Bible is the perfect and divinely-inspired word of God, graciously given to us to reveal God and his plan for salvation and restoration. We base all of our beliefs on the Bible, and it is where we look for truth and wisdom.
Salvation is an act of God’s free grace, secured by Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection. It is God’s great rescue plan to redeem sinners. With this act, He pardons all our sins and accepts us as righteous in his sight, only for the righteousness of Christ imputed to us and received by faith alone (justification). With this acceptance, God also, by His Spirit, progressively makes us righteous, renews us and enables us to sin less and love righteousness more until Christ's return and our full adoption as children of God.
God made us to desire relationship with both Him and other people. Because of this desire, he kindly gave us the church, a community of believers who love and serve one another to the glory of God. The church meets to worship God and remind one another of the good news of salvation.
We believe vision and power sharing among the shepherding team and pastors is best when we truly have a mosaic of qualified men and women coming together to serve God’s church. Our Pastors will take on the primary teaching responsibility for the congregation. Alongside them, we’ll have a shepherding team, deacons, staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers all leading and serving together.
