Together We Can Help End Homelessness
We are asking for assistance in supporting Creekside Community Village's construction. This program seeks to not only house homeless persons, but provide stable, life-giving, and enriching community to all.
Our Goal
This summer, we want to raise $100k for a home in the Creekside Community, a transformative community, combining permanent supportive housing with life-giving community engagement. This community exists to empower those coming out of homelessness who long for a permanent place to call home.
The Plan
Our leadership has already voted to match up to $50,000 of the congregation’s giving from savings. With a $100K we could build 2 homes, or 1 super nice model home to inspire other gifts.
The Timeline
Obviously this whole community expense is more than $100K, but Mission Waco says they have already raised half the money for Phase 1 (a $12 million venture) of their plan. However, they are needing cash now to begin this fall, so we're putting a July 31st mark as something for our congregation to shoot for.
