As we begin looking toward the fall semester, I wanted to take a moment simply to say thank you.
One of the great temptations in the Christian life is to measure significance by visibility. Yet throughout Scripture, God delights to do His most profound work in ordinary places, through ordinary people, practicing ordinary faithfulness. That’s what I see happening in our small groups.
Every time you open your home, make a meal, facilitate a conversation, pray with someone, or simply create space for people to be known, you are participating in God’s work of forming a people. Discipleship rarely happens all at once. More often, it happens around living room couches, dinner tables, shared prayers, honest conversations, and faithful presence over time.
Our hope has never been merely to organize groups. We want to cultivate communities where the gospel is not only believed but experienced, where strangers become family, burdens are shared, sins are confessed, joys are celebrated, and people increasingly learn what it means to love Christ and one another. In many ways, this is the church being the church.
Thank you for giving yourselves to this work. It matters more than you know.
As we prepare for the fall, here are a few important dates:
Small Group Leader Training
Sunday, August 16 | 5:00–7:00 PM | Mosaic
This training is for both new and returning leaders. We’ll share dinner together (childcare will be provided), spend time reconnecting, and revisit the heart behind our small groups. I’d also ask you to prayerfully consider something.
Many of our best small group leaders come from our groups! So, has someone emerged with the character, humility, and love for people that might make them a future leader? If someone comes to mind, let me know. I’d love to invite them to the training as they discern whether God may be preparing them to lead in the future.

I’m genuinely excited about what God will do this semester. Thank you for the quiet, faithful work you do week after week. It is one of the primary ways Christ is forming His people here in our community.
